All vehicle rentals come with a comprehensive Rental Agreement provided at the time of booking or vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance details, fees, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take priority.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for Vehicle Rental
- To hire a vehicle from Car Hire in Barrow, you must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions may vary depending on the vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional charges. A valid full driving licence, appropriate for the vehicle category, is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. Booking and Payment Options

A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance and a security deposit generally due upon vehicle pick-up. All charges are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept all major credit and debit cards through secure payment systems.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

You will be responsible for any damage or loss up to the excess amount, unless you opt for additional coverage. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse, as well as any violation of these Terms, remains your responsibility, regardless of the insurance.
6. Cancellations and Modifications

Our overall liability for any claims is limited to the rental amount paid in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
